HE is my EVERYTHING!!!

Trusting God, why is that so difficult for us? Could it be because of a betrayal of a friend or parent? Broken promises from those who were you're heros? The ones that were suppose to protect you from the evils of this world disappointed you by inflicting abuse, or pain? What ever the reason, people will break promises, cause physical and emotional pain, and we will in turn loose trust in them and sometimes mankind. Nevertheless, in the mist of all this pain and confusion, God remains trustworthy! He promises are true and never change!! He is our HEALER, our COUNSELOR, LAWYER, MIND REGULATOR, in fact, HE Is EVERYTHING we need. We can trust HIM with our deepest secrets and hurts. HE is patiently waiting for us to give everything to HIM so HE can show HIMSELF to us as TRUSTWORTHY!!!
Thank you Lord for you faithfulness!!!

The Hoppers sing "I've Come Too Far" written by Nancy Harmon. The a cappella reprise is also shown. The song appears on the 50th Anniversary DVD "The Ride" and is featured on the CD recording
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUQz9DWGNQc
1.
I've come too far to look back again
There is nothing behind me
All the treasures I used to love
Have all faded from view
There's a new day ahead for me
All my heartache is over
For I left it at Calvary
Where my new life began

Chorus
I've come too far to look back
My feet have walked through the valley
I've climbed mountains, crossed rivers
Dessert places I've known
But I'm nearing the home shore
The redeemed are rejoicing
Heaven's angels are singing
I've gone too far to look back

2.
Look around, there's no happiness
There's no reason for living
Life will give you a broken dream
Full of sorrow and fear
Turn around, don't look back again
Face the new day before you
Place your heartache in Jesus' hand
He can mend broken dreams

Chorus

Tag
Heavens angels are singing
I've gone to far to look back.

The Power of One

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything,I will NOT refuse to do the something that I can do. ~ Helen Keller

In His Hands

I've had disappointments, and so have you,
I remember times when times were bad
But I am so glad for everymoment
That I've been in His hands
In His hands.....

In His hands, there's only saftey
Nothing there can touch you excpet Him
Bring your burdens and all your failure
Just lay then down and rest here,
In His hands

Auntie Time!!!!!

If any of you know me, you know I LOVE kids!!! My girls and now adults and refuse to sit on my lap and hug me in public. Big sigh!!
I have many nieces and nephews that I just adore, however four of them live in the Dallas Texas area, my twin nephews are in Atascadro, and on Nathan's side all the kids are adults or nearing adulthood except for Trae, and he's in Arizona! He already proudly announces that he is taller than his "Aunite Ape"! (don't try it, he is the only one allowed to call me that!!!)
However, I have also learned that family are the friends you choose.
I have a dear friend with whom I went to school with in Junior High. We eventually both became interpreters and have worked together for years. We parted ways for a few years only because while I was having my babies, she went to Cal State Northridge to get her Deaf Ed. Credential. When my kids were entering thier pre-teen years, Chantel moved back to Fresno with hubby and 5 month old Emily. I had just quit work to homeschool my girls. So, we started watching Emily and 22 months later, Abbey. They Cox's are very much apart of our family. They call me "Auntie" and Nathan "Uncle" and adore Nannette and Katrina!
So, tonight is Aunite time with my wonderful "nieces"!!! We have made Pita pizza's thanks to Nannette and Katrina's creativity, and played with puppies. Now they are at the park with my girls. We are enjoying the time of hugs, kisses and much laughter!!! They are so excited to go to Sunday School tomorrow morning!!!!
If being an Auntie is so much fun, can you imagine my grandkids???
What a thought!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

No painter's brush, nor poet's pen
In justice to her fame
Has ever reached half high enough
To write a mother's name.

Take God at His Word

Last night was another great service at Penetcostal Tabernacle! No running, shouting or anything that we Apostolics equate with a "good service". We had a simple Bible study, however the subject matter was very timely and is very important to our walk with God. In this life, trust is a difficult thing to aquire. Sin has caused hurts, betrayals and abuses of many types. This and more has caused humanity to not trust. When so many of us have been hurt by the very ones that were suppose to protect us, love us and keep us from the ugliness of the world violated everything sacred. But in the mist of all that, God waits patiently, wanting so bad to prove His trustworthliness.
Pastor read a "ton" of scripture regarding God keeping His promises. There were so many I had forgotten in God's word that I had to stop, relax, and remind myself of the miricles God has promised and fulfilled in my family, the church and in so many lives I am in contact with. I am so thankful I serve a TRUSTWORTHY God!!!

I'm Happy Happy Happy!!!!!

Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same. ~Francesca Reigler

Home Sweet Home!!

Today was one of those rare opputunities of staying home all day!! No errands, not appoitments, no freelance assignments, nothing!!!
So,I have stayed home and kept my poor sick hubby company. He is feeling some better and can keep soup within his body cavity, for a while anyway. (I know (tmi)). He doesn't get sick often, but when he does, his whole word comes to a screeching halt!!
Oh and by the way, another good weekend of church!! Bro. Gilliam really heard from God and it is a message that was life changing!! God is so incrediably good to us!!!
That old song comes to mind:
"You don't know like I know what He's done for me!!"
I thought I had let go of some old hurts from long ago, yet this weekend I was faced with those feelings again, but God, by faith, has reached deep within this heart of mine and has continued the work He started in me over 25 years ago.
Psalm 138:8
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Another Tri-Tip dinner...

I am now sitting in my recliner resting my tired body, but it's a good tired. Tonight was a bianuual tri-tip dinner our church is known for in out little town. It is a busy day but a fun one.
I got to know several of our new converts tonight. We come and go from church services, but to actually work side by side allows for oppurtunity to for us to see each other in different enviroment. Sis. Gloria worked next to me tonight and Sis. Kim, and they are a nutty as I am, just not as loud. :0)
I do have to brag on Sis. Hill....She did an awsome job managing this dinner. She was without her other half (our Pastor), however she did it.(never doubted)Organizing the dinner is not an easy task, however she has a knack with this kindof stuff. I am proud of my Pastor's wife and all she does for Pentecostal Tabernacle.
I guess now I will go to bed and rest and get ready for the busy weekend. God is GOOD, All the time!!!
