Friends

No love, no friendship, can cross the path of our destiny without leaving some mark on it forever. - Francois Mauriac

Psalms 3:3-7 KJV

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil

Attire for Church

One Sunday morning an old cowboy entered a church just before services were to begin. Although the old man and his clothes were spotlessly clean, he wore jeans, a denim shirt and boots that were very worn and ragged. In his hand he carried a worn out old hat and an equally well read bible. The church he entered was in a very upscale and exclusive part of the city. It was the largest and most beautiful church the old cowboy had ever seen. The people of the congregation were all dressed with expensive clothes and jewelry. As the cowboy took a seat, the others moved away from him. No one greeted, spoke to, or welcomed him. They were all appalled by hisappearance and did not attempt to hide it. As the old cowboy was leaving the church, the preacher approached him and asked the cowboy to do him a favor: "Before you come back here again, have a talk with God and ask him what he thinks would Be appropriate attire for worship in church." The old cowboy assured the preacher he would.
The next Sunday, he showed back up for the services wearing the same ragged jeans, shirt, boots, and hat. Once again he was completely shunned and ignored.
The preacher approached the cowboy and said, "I thought I asked you to speak to God before you came back to our church." "I did," replied the old cowboy.
"If you spoke to God, what did he tell you the proper attire should be for worshiping here?" asked the preacher. "Well, sir, God told me that He didn't have a clue what I should wear. He said He'd never been in this church."

Lord, it's your house and we will love all who enter therein.....

I was at an alter in Fresno, California promising my life to the man of my dreams. We were married 22 years ago today! Some of you may have been there. Now, most of you know we were divorced for 5 years so legally we have been married for 17 years however, we celebrate both annaversaries. Hey, don't knock it, I get dinner and flowers twice a year!
I am so thankful for my husband and what God has been doing in our individual lives and in our marriage.
God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, more than we could ever ask of think!!! God has been truly good to us!!

T.G.I.F.

Well here we are, Friday afternoon. Emily and Abbey, (my adopted nieces), are staying the night and we are glad they are here. I love children, and they are wonderful to have around. Emi has beautiful red curly hair, and Abbey has beautiful blonde strieght hair. At six and eight, they are not afraid to say what's on thier mind and express whats on thier hearts.
They brought thier indoor hopscotch game and connect 4. It's gonna be a night of games and fun for us. That way we can sleep in and have some of Uncles "famous waffles!". YUM..........

Home Sweet Home

We are home from our cruise and it was wonderful!!! Katrina had a rough first night Friday but Saturday morning all was well. The boat was amazing! I couldn't really believe we were actually on a cruise ship. So many things to do and so much food to eat. Music, activities and food. Ensenanda was a blast. We have never received so much attention and help while shopping! (smuthering actually)
Everyone wanted us to go into thier store or thier restaurant. One time at the outdoor flea market, six guys descended upon me to look in thier store. I kept right on walking. Most of the "male" salespeople were more interested in getting my girls attention than me acutually. We got alot of comments on the beauty of our girls and the consistant question was,"Are they twins?".
We went to the "blowhole" which is one of three blowholes in the world. This happens to be the largest in the world. It was cool to listen for the roar then see the water spray streight up in the air. Whether you needed a shower or not, you got one.
Sunday were at sea all day to set in lounge chairs or participate in activites on the ship. We sat in lounge chairs and read and sometimes did nothing. Did I mention the food? There was food everywhere you turned around. The meals were absolutley awsome! And the melting choclate cake I had two out of the three nights were to die for! The cabins were small but accomodating for four of us and one plug for hair equipment. We did it without too much of a fight! Needless to say, I am so glad we did it. Thanks Nate for insisting we do it. We have many good memeories on our "Paridise".
Check out the girls' blog, wearyourconfidence.blogspot.com for more pictures and a few "unique" expirences!!!

Mexico Anyone????

Well it is finally upon us! Tomorrow all four of us will climb into our car and head to Long Beach California and from there board the Carnival Paradise and off to Mexico we go!!! Ensanada is our destination for Saturday! If you haven't figured it out yet, we are going on a three day cruise to Mexico! We are excited since we have never been on a cruise before so this is a real adventure!!! We have studied the websites on cruises and Ensanda and are anxious to go!
I have books to read by the pool side and Nathan wants to see the blow hole and pharmacies (pray saints pray). I hope he doesn't get frisked for all the drugs he plans to buy. The girls and I are anxious just to look around and see what treasures we can find. Katrina wants a cowboy hat, a watch and something else, I don't remember. Nannette is just anxious to get away as I am.
We leave Friday evening from Long Beach, Saturday is Ensanada, Sunday is all day on the sea and Monday return to Long Beach. We will stop and see my aunt who lives in Long Beach on the way home. I will post pictures as soon as I can Monday night or Tuesday. The sad thing is I start my Statistics class Monday too.... back to reality!
