The Brick

Read this today even if you are too busy! You'll see.

THE BRICK

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared.
Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting,
'What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?' The young boy was apologetic. 'Please, mister....please, I'm sorry but I didn't
know what else to do,' He pleaded. 'I threw the brick because no one else would stop...' With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. 'It's my brother, 'he said 'He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up.

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, 'Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and
he's too heavy for me.

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. 'Thank you and may God bless
you,' the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watch ed the boy! push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very
noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: 'Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to
get your attention!' God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

What brick does God have to throw to get yor attention???

Oh What Kids Say!!

After the dedication of his baby brother in church, little Johnny sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car. His Father asked three times what was wrong.
Finally, the boy replied, "The pastor said he wants us brought up in a Christian home, but I want to stay with you guys!!"

Wow!! Out of the mouth of babes!!!

God Is So Good!

We has another great service here in Kerman!
God moved in such a powerful way for all who were there!
Me perosnally, God reminded me that HE does hear and answer prayer. For Nathan and I, God really touched us in a special way. The last few years the enemy has really battle our family and our marriage as well as the church. Nathan and I are closer now than ever before. God has been working healing and understanding to the both of us as well as our girls. Last night, God touched the two of us like never before. I am so grateful that we have a personal God, one who is touched by our brokeness and desires to heal us, and use us for His puspose, the key is being in total surrender to Him and His purpose. Thank you God for your faithfulness!!!
Bro. Gillum was so anoited under the power the Holy Ghost, it was incrediable.
He confirmed to the church that NOW is our hour and REVIVAL is here!!!!
Pastor saw a vision of faces mingled within the congretation that he has never seen before! Isles filled, standing room only in the church buiiding!!! It was so awsome to see God move!
Bro. and Sis Hill, God is going to show you all the promises He has given you and that what the devil meant to destroy you, and the church, God is going to use it for HIS glory and testimony of His power!!!!! I love and appriciate the both of you so much. You have walked through the fire with us as well as your own and that of the churh at large. There are very few pastors and thier wives that would dedicate so much and still face the pain and disappointment as the two of you have the past eight years, and especially the last two. Our family is behind you 100% and will remain there.
I stand amazed that God would take time to meet a group of broken people, (and I am speaking of churches in general), and show us such love, forgiveness and healing as only He can.
All I can say is GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!

Ladies Conference 2009

Well, I finally can say I went to Ladies Conference and so glad I did. The services were AWSOME!!!! God did a real work in those services. Then of course Sis. Hill was in charge of the Brunch and did a beautiful job as always.
For me, I came away knowing that God met me there. HE moved in a mighty way in all the services, letting us know that laughter is important, that HE cares about our situations and what we are going through NOW is preparing us for TOMMOROW.
The sweetest thing of all, and I guess you had to been there or buy the CD, is that HE cares about our "ladybug". Sis. Linville told about seeing this pull luggage with ladybugs on it. She loves ladybugs, however it was out her budget to purchase. Months later she returned to have some stranger mention to her that
there was a piece of luggage that was on sale or $4.99 that had a ludybug on it. She went to that luggage store and found that exact same piece of luggage she had looked at and wanted months eariler. Of course $4.99 fit nicely in her budget and purchased it.
The next week she found out she had a mass that looked like cancer on her kidney. In her state of fear and dismay, wondering if God knew about the situation, she remembered the "ladybug". Yes, God indeed knew about her and her situation!!! She knew from then on out that God had the WHOLE situation under control
I too have my "ladybug". My family. Nannette had the most difficult trial of her life thus far. God showed me all that I could do as a mom was to pray and trust HIM. My marriage was in a the balance unrelated to Nannette's situation, and Katrina was walking on the fence as far as church went. She was angry and confused and showed it. All this is happening at the same time. God showed me that if I would surrender my girls and Nathan and my marriage to HIM, place them in HIS hands everyday, HE would take care of every situation in regards to my family. I obey, and I can honestly say God has worked out every detail better that I ever expected.
We are all closer to God than we have ever been and are living as a happy family, which is a vast contrast to 2 years ago.
Thank you Lord for reminding me this week that you took us through the fire and we have come out stronger for it! You will never leave me nor forsake me; and that you care about my "ladybugs". I will always remember what God did for me and my family and that HE does do all things beautiful in HIS time!!!
Now for the carnal side of the trip, we shopped, ate and ate and ate. I plan to go again next year!!!!!
P.S. Oh yeah, ask Sis. Hill about the aliens!!!!

Can't wait till the Weekend!

Today is Wensday, the middle of the week and my longest workday! I started work at Sorenson Video relay at 6 am til noon, and will go till 5 pm with freelance interpreting jobs. At of course, Church tonight then homework and packing for Ladies Conference in Sacremento!!!! The girls and I are so excited to go. We have never attended a Ladies Conference and our Pastors' wife is our sectional leader, so it should be great!!! (cant' wait to make faces at her while she sits prim and proper on the platform!!!!)
My dear friend Debra Mackey is rooming with us, I feel real sorry for her. My premadonas can take a while when they primp!! :0)
When I go to confereces I get a sense of anticpation to see what God will do in that meeting. The reason is, is that the speaker has no idea who will be there, what situation the particpants are in and what they need from God. So when I go and see how God meets needs through that willing vessal, I marvel at the proof that God is, and He hears and answers out prayers in a way only He can!!!!
I know many of us that are going are seeking answers and a fresh touch of God, I can't wait to see what happens to my girls, friends and even myself.
Also I can 't wait for the girl time fun we will have with old friends and new.
That is one of my persoanl goals, to meet NEW friends and get outta of my comfort zone.
So, can't wait till tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Laughter is Good Medicine!!!

And one particular four-year old prayed, "And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."

Q. Who was the greatest financier in the Bible?
A. Noah. He was floating his stock while everyone else was in liquidation.

Q. Who was the greatest female financier in the Bible?
A. Pharaoh's daughter. She went down to the bank of the Nile and drew out A little prophet.

Q. Where is the first baseball game in the Bible?
A. In the big inning, Eve stole first, Adam stole second. Cain struck out Abel, and the Prodigal Son came home. The Giants and the Angels were rained out.

Lord, help me not to be busy to stop, smell the flowers, and have a good belly laugh!!!! I like that kind of medicine!!!!

My Theme Song!......

I Just Came Out Praisen
Recorded by Kim Hopper
“I Just Thought You Ought to Know”

I’ve been in the furnace
Thrown in the lions den
Left for dead in the dungeon
I faced my red sea, time and again
But through my trails the Lord has taught me
I won’t escape if I complain
But he will deliver every time
I praise HIM through the pain

I just came out praisen
Stronger that I’ve ever been
Flying high up there with the eagles
On the breeze of a second wind
Oh any body can sing and smile
Standing in the choir
So Lord thank you for the song you taught me
In the storm and though the fire
Beneath the waves and between the tears when I should have gone crazy
I just came out praisen

I know you’re on the brink of giving up and given in
Weary and discouraged tired of trying to understand
But this trail wasn’t meant to break you
It only came to make you strong
You might have gone in weak and crying
But you came out with a song……

You gonna come out praisen
Stronger that you’ve ever been
Flying high up there with the eagles
On the breeze of a second wind
Oh any body can sing and smile
Standing in the choir
So Lord thank you for the song you taught us
In the storm and though the fire
Beneath the waves and between the tears when we should have gone crazy
We just came out praisen.

I won’t let this trail get the best of me
Cause God said this is only a test for me

Went in broke but come out wealthy
Went in sick but come out healthy
Went in bound coming out released
Went in worried but now I got peace
Went in confuse but now my mind’s brand new
Went in complaining but came out praisen……..

We’re gonna come out praisen
Stronger that we've ever been
Flying high up there with the eagles
On the breeze of a second wind
Oh any body can sing and smile
Standing in the choir
So Lord thank you for the song you taught us
In the storm and though the fire
Beneath the waves and between the tears when we should have gone crazy
We just came out praisen
Just came out praisen….
Come out praisen…….
Come out praisen…….

The Weekend

Well, Nathan and I had a nice quiet weekend shopping for cars. Yes, our income tax came in and we needed a car so Katrina can have the car we have currently been driving.
Car shopping with my husband can be frusterating number one, he's a mechanic, number two, he only likes foreign made cars, number three, he wants low miles and for our price range, it was tough to find. I have been on craigslist, cars.com and edmounds websites since Thursday and was ready to find that right deal. Several times, I thought we HAD found the "right"deal, however my husband would tell the person, "we want to look at a few more cars and we'll get back to you". Well, I was about done, looking when we had one more car to see. It was that "deal" we were looking and praying for. I asked God to lead us to the right car and price. God KNEW what we needed. It was everything my husband wanted and met my standards very nicley. I must say, I do look good in it!!!
Now we all have cars, after being negotiating who's gonna use what car at what time to pick up whoever. Praise the Lord, they are nicer than anything we've ever had!! God is our provider!
The girls just arrived home from youth retreat. They are so tired but very excited about the weekend. I saw thier pictures already, Sis. Hill, get the kleenox box ready... there is a sweet picture of Misty and Adam praying with Mark!!! I am so excited to see God working in him!!! His hair looks good too!
Tonight is another exciting Revial night at Pentecostal Tabernacle.
I know God will do more miricles and more souls saved, and broken hearts and lives mended, that just what God does best!!!
