        It's been a long time since I have blogged!  Since the last blog, I received a Bachelor's in Psychology and have begun a Master's program in Gerontology.  Nannette and Katrina are both at Fresno State pursuing their educational goals.  Nathan is obviously busy with the heat wave we have been experiencing as of late.  Our family has been very involved in music and youth ministries in our wonderful church that God has placed us in for the past 12 plus years, Pentecostal Tabernacle , Kerman.
         We have been blessed to be a second family to three wonderful kids for almost two years now. God is working in reunifying the kids with their mother and we are excited for them.  Although it is hard to let go of those who have been part of our everyday lives, however we know that is God's plan.
The handsome young man in the middle is the love of Katrina's life.  We love Santino and appreciate the way he pampers our baby girl.Nannette has a gentleman caller as well. Landon, we love you too!

         God has been so good to us! We could never count all His blessings for they are too many. He has never left us nor forsaken us through the hard times as well as the good times. We could never love Him enough.

Report on Jonah's (Shirley Janeaux) Going Home Celebration

For those of my friends who were unable to attend Shirley's home going service, it was just as she would have wanted it. Deborah did an awesome job putting the whole thing together with the help of Mary Jo Thompson. We sang "Royal Telephone" and "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms" as congregational songs to open with. Bro. Garret opened with stories and I sang and signed, "Jesus Loves Me". Shirley had wanted Dannah to sing it but, poor thing just couldn't do it.Sis. Mary Jo Thompson told us stories that made us   laugh so hard and then told of how Shirley had become her "spiritual mother", and we cried. Bill shared his "mom in law" memories and for the first time in my life, I saw my brother in law so choked up he couldn't talk. That spoke volumes to me of his love and affection toward Shirley. As requested, Bill and Deb sang "Address Change Notification",and touched hearts. Bro. Bob Thompson read letters and blogs(he read yours Caroline) from friends and former Sunday School students and we all laughed and cried. Then Bro. Nathan Morton told us some funny yet true of Shirley stories. We closed with " Everybody Will Be Happy Over There".
Shirley was a very memorable person for sure with her quirks and ways, but she loved, loved, loved people. She had a knack of making one feel as if they were so special,and loved. She loved her children and grandchildren in a way I could only hoped to be loved by someone. But most importantly, she loved God!
It was a special service. The church people really rallied with Bill and Deb and the kids to help them through this really difficult time. I was amazed at the attendance the church family made to support thefamily and a woman they hardly knew. That is what the family of God is about. Lifting up our brothers and sisters during the hard times as well as the good times. I'm so glad Nathan and I were apart of her home going service.

Will it ever slow down? It's sure doesn't seem like it! But, hey, I'm young and vibrant.... LOL God has been so good to us, with health and salvation. Its a good life living for the Lord!!!!!

I'll post some pictures of my in laws anniversary for those of you that don't have Facebook.

Thank God for Second Chances

Today my hubby and I are celebrating our 9th anniversary. This is our "second" time around with each other. We separated and divorced in 1996 and remarried in January 19, 2001! The road has been long and hard but God has been so good to us! Marriage isn't about falling in and out of love, it's loving unconditionally and forgiving. However, the biggest ingredient in a marriage is Jesus!!! If HE is not center of your life and marriage, well, there just isn't much there.
Nathan, I love you so much and glad you and I will grow old together and walk Heaven's streets together!!!!

Belonging.....

Dictionary.com says that belonging means "Acceptance as a natural member or part: a sense of belonging."
It must be a fulfilling feeling to belong. To fill completely loved and wanted. To be the apple of someones eye, when they look at you, everyone knows that your parents are so incredibly proud of you and are so glad you are their daughter. Everyone knows about you because your parents brag on you and celebrate your birth.
Even more now than ever, I know what it feels like to be the parent, just don't know about the kid......
One day, it won't hurt so bad.......
Jesus, be my father, I need this hurt to go away. I want to BE your daughter, not like a daughter.....

The Love of God

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
